My Research Project

The most rewarding experience of my junior year of college was conducting research on genre expectations and feminist film theory manifested in the 2019 folk-horror film "Midsommar." What started out as a research paper evolved into a comprehensive year-long exploration. With two other Berry Communication majors, I had the honor of traveling to Chicago to present my research at the 2025 National Pop Culture Association Convention! Presenting my findings alongside academics from all over the country was incredibly fulfilling. Additionally, I was selected for a subsequent presentation at Berry College's 2025 Student Symposium, an event with showcases undergraduate research. I am thankful for my mentor, Dr. Hersey, whose guidance was instrumental throughout this project!
